About Us

Dr. Valentine earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She went on to be an intern in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Valentine completed her bachelor's degree from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior, with a focus on Animal Behavior. She then gained experience as a Veterinary Emergency and Infectious Disease Nurse at the North Shore Animal League in Port Washington, as well as at New York City’s Animal Medical Center. Before joining a busy 5 doctor practice in Boynton Beach, Dr. Valentine practiced as an emergency and critical care clinician in Northern Virginia and South Florida over the past seven years. Her special medical interests include neurology and behavior, holistic and herbal medicine, intensive care fluid therapy, pediatric and neonatal care, and surgical management of soft tissue trauma.

In her free time, Dr. Valentine volunteers her skills and knowledge to community animal shelters, wildlife rescue, and domestic rescue organizations. She greatly enjoys the outdoors, the ocean, exploring South Florida’s flora and fauna, and frolicking with her two Alaskan Malamutes on the nearby beaches.  Other long time interests include study of Eastern cultures and belief systems, various yoga disciplines, and Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques and rationale.
